Ingredients for Taco Pizza con Chorizo:

Taco pizza sauce
Refried beans     3 oz.
Taco sauce     1 c.
Pizza sauce     1 c.
Pizza shell     14 in.
Tezzata® Chorizo Pork Topping, 10017, thawed     12 oz.
Mozzarella cheese, finely shredded     9 oz.
Tomato, diced     8 oz.
Lettuce, chopped     4 oz.
Black olives, sliced, drained     1 1/2 oz.
Cheddar cheese, shredded     5 oz.
Choice of taco flavored or tortilla flavored chips, lightly crumbled     3 oz.
Additional tomatoes & olives for garnish

Procedure for Taco Pizza con Chorizo:

  • Mix refried beans, taco sauce, and pizza sauce together in small bowl.
  • Place crust on pizza pan and spread pizza sauce evenly over pizza shell, up to ½-inch of edge.
  • Spread meat and mozzarella cheese evenly over crust. Place in preheated 425º F pizza oven.
  • Bake 17-20 minutes or until pizza is golden on the edges and crisp underneath.
  • Let pizza cool 2-3 minutes.
  • Cut into slices; then sprinkle with lettuce, tomatoes, olives and cheddar cheese in layers to create a “taco” appearance.
  • Garnish with more tomatoes and olives as desired.
